Cursor 11 win the awards of The Reliable Heavy-Duty Engine Selection

   On October 25, at the 8th Selection and Award Ceremony for the Reliable Commercial Vehicle Power I Trusted, Cursor11 engine of SFH won the honor of the 8th Award for Reliable Heavy Duty Engine with its increasingly favorable market performance and excellent technical performance.

Characteristic technology

 

    In the short three years since the introduction to the Chinese market, cursor11’s market performance has been rising steadily, from only a few hundred sets when it went public in 2016 to nearly 10,000 sets per year for a single model in 2017. The rapid growth has made this engine the main sales model of SFH.

 

   Why does Cursor 11 so popular in market? From the review experts' comments at the beginning of the article, we can see the reason: Cursor11 has its own technology characteristics and product features.

 

    In the appraisal process of this year, as the only engine using efficient SCR system, it was highly appraised by the review committee experts. Professor, Shuai Shijin, from the School of Automobile Engineering of Tsinghua University, believes that such a technical route having no EGR and DPF treatment system but still meeting GB VI is very characteristic.

 

    According to reports, SCR(Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology of FPT Technologies has a research and development history of more than 25 years and is carried on 650,000 on-roads and off-road application equipment. This technical background makes Cursor11 completely abandon EGR technology. FPT's SCR technology optimizes combustion efficiency, increases engine power, and simultaneously reduces nitrogen oxide emissions to meet GBV.

FPT can easily face the EURO VI by breakthroughs in the research and development of high-efficiency SCR technology when it is generally believed that both the combustion chamber and the exhaust system must be intervened at the same time to meet EURO VI. The high-efficiency SCR system has achieved unprecedented high efficiency. The unique "SCR Only" EURO VI post-treatment technology only uses the catalytic reduction system, and can meet the stringent NOx limit requirements without adding exhaust gas recirculation. Therefore, Cursor11 has the full potential to be upgraded to GBVI, which is enough to cope with the GBVI implemented in some cities in advance from July 1 next year.

Product features

 

Cursor11 is also a very special product. Although SFH came to the 11L golden displacement model camp late, the company still has a firm foothold in the market due to the characteristics of its own products.

 

What are these features? Large power and light weight. Cursor11 has the largest displacement among 11L displacement engine products, with more reserve power, the largest power per liter, and good high-speed driving performance. Cursor11 engine displacement can reach 11.12L and can be calibrated to cover four different power outputs, including 350hp, 390hp, 430hp and 450hp. The corresponding maximum torque can reach 1,700N•m, 1,900 N•m, 2,000 N•m and 2,100 N•m respectively. The power performance can meet the power demands of most heavy trucks at present. Cursor11 has a compact structure and can effectively reduce the engine weight and space occupation, thus effectively reducing the operating cost.

 

In addition, Cursor series engines have been well known for low noise and great riding comfort. Applications of advanced technology and structural design, such as overhead camshaft combined with timing gear transmission and integral cylinder head and rocker arm assembly, have reduced engine noise, vibration and harshness. The flexible connection of the engine oil pan can effectively reduce the leakage of lubricating oil and reduce the noise of the engine, which is 3 – 5db lower than that of similar products.
